  4. Write a thesis statement that includes your claim and THREE points that prove the claim.
  5. Create an outline for your essay. Use the Complete Essay Outline you were given in class.

  • 3 separate body paragraphs — each on a different topic from your outline
    • each body paragraph should have 4 parts
      • topic sentence
      • data/examples
      • your analysis
      • wrap-up sentence (leads back to the thesis and echoes the topic sentence)
  • conclusion with 2 parts
    • restate thesis
    • final thoughts

Be sure to follow all the correct paper formatting rules:
