Week 0 — Homework for the first day of class

A couple of things you need to do before the first day of class:

1. Get your books for fall semester.

• The Usborne Encyclopedia of World History
• The King’s Fifth
• The Ghost in the Tokaido Inn

2. Bring your Encyclopedia of World History with you on the first day of class! We will be doing an activity where you will need your book!

If you are a slower reader, you may want to start reading The King’s Fifth since you’ll only have two weeks to finish it once school starts.

3. Watch videos on the Age of Exploration.

We’ll be talking about this time period in history during the first day of class. The more you know before you come, the more you’ll be able to participate! (You don’t need to watch all the videos, but please watch at least the first few.)
