- Add the following key dates to your timeline.
- Add ONE additional date that you find during your History Study.
- 1810 – Independence movement begins in Mexico
- 1813 – Simon Bolivar begins his revolutionary career in Venezuela
- 1824 – Bolivar leads Battle of Ayacucho to free Peru
- 1825 – Most of Latin America becomes independent
- 1836 – Texas declares independence from Mexico
- 1898 – Spanish-American War
- 1898 – Cuba & Puerto Rico become protectorates of the United States
