On October 28, you’ll be doing a 5-minute presentation on a scientist.
Choose the scientists you want to do a presentation on HERE.
Only one student per scientist. Please do not erase someone else’s name.

3. History Study
Spend 60+ minutes researching the following topic during this time period.
MUGHAL EMPIRE
1526 – 1857
- Read Usborne Encyclopedia of World History (UEWH) pgs 300-301.
- Spend at least 45 additional minutes studying any resource focused on this time period (YouTube, documentary, picture book, magazine, etc.).

As you study, fill out your Time Period Study worksheet.
You must add information about at least one Key Person, one Key Event, and several Interesting Facts. If you want to do more, fill out more than one worksheet.

- Add the following key dates or figures to your timeline.
- Add ONE additional date that you find during your History Study.
- 1526 – Babur launches the Mughal empire in India
- 1556 – Akbar, greatest Mughal emperor, inherits the throne at 13
- 1571 – Akbar builds his palace Fatehpur Sikri
- 1632 – Shah Jordan begins to build Taj Mahal as a tomb for his favorite wife
- 1764 – British East India Company defeats emperor at Battle of Buxor
- 1857 – British exile last Mughal emperor; Mughal empire officially ends
