- Add the following key dates to your timeline.
- Add ONE additional date that you find during your History Study.
- 1807 – Britain outlaws the Atlantic slave trade
- 1833 – Britain passes the Abolition of Slavery Act, ordering gradual abolition of slavery in all British colonies.
- 1848 – France abolishes slavery
- 1863 – Abraham Lincoln passes Emancipation Proclamation freeing all slaves in US
- 1865 – 13th Amendment to US constitution bans slavery
- 1888 – Brazil abolishes slavery
3. History Study
- Spend 60+ minutes researching researching the following topic during this time period.
