Complete Caught-ya #11 and #12. After you are finished, watch the videos below for your corrections.

2. Timeline
- Add the following key dates to your timeline. These are all dates when the person was born.
- Add THREE additional date that you find during your History Study.
- 1300 – Osman displaces Seljuk Turks and becomes leader of Ottoman dynasty
- 1435 – Mehmed II conquers Constantinople and Byzantine Empire falls. Constantinople is renamed Istanbul.
- 1520 – Ottoman Empire reaches its peak under Suleyman the Magnificent
- 1638 – Ottoman’s try to capture Venice but fail
- 1923 – Ottoman Empire is dissolved after they are on the losing side of World War I
3. History Study
Spend 60+ minutes researching the following topic during this time period.
OTTOMAN EMPIRE
1300 – 1914
- Spend at least 15 minutes studying in your History Survey text.
- Spend at least 45 additional minutes studying any resource focused on this time period (YouTube, documentary, picture book, magazine, etc.).

3. As you study, fill out your Time Period Study worksheet.
You must add information about at least one Key Person, one Key Event, and several Interesting Facts. If you want to do more, fill out more that one worksheet.
